Radiator Jobs Disclaimer
I am an experienced plumber but I’m not a heating engineer and I do not work on boilers. I have however changed hundreds of radiators and radiator valves, draining and refilling central heating systems, adjusting pipework to radiators etc. The majority of the time this is perfectly possible to do, without a hitch, despite not being a heating engineer/boiler installer.
However, every now and then, when working with radiators, an issue can occur with the central heating system and/or boiler. I know a few tricks and can often persuade things to start working again but if I’m unable to, then a visit from a Gas Safe heating engineer will be needed. And until this is done you may be without some or all of your heating and potentially even hot water.
This is especially worth keeping in mind when colder weather arrives or at busy times of the year or near weekends when it can be tricky getting someone at short notice.
So if it is critical that such a situation is avoided then I would recommend you find a Gas Safe heating engineer to do the work instead of booking me. However, if you are happy to assume the risk, then I’ll be happy to go ahead.
